Team of Commercial Pilots Wins The RED BULL FLUGTAG in Singapore

,

Press Release:
(Singapore, 28 October 2012) –Red Bull Flugtag teams spent weeks toiling over their man-made aircrafts in an attempt to put Singapore on the world map for creativity and today, Siloso Beach Sentosa saw some of the island’s wackiest human-powered flying crafts take off a 6 meter ramp into the lagoon.

A total of 38 teams (of 4 members per team) attempted, amidst cheers from a 35,000 strong crowd, to break the Red Bull Flugtag world record distance of 69.79m set in Mainz, Germany earlier this year. This international Red Bull event with a 20 year history made its debut in Singapore and South East Asia for the first time today.

A judging panel made up of 7 notable public figures (Paul Foster, Georgina Chang, Aide Iskandar, Rosalyn Lee, Felix Huang, Bobby Tonelli and Dee Kosh) judged each team on creativity, showmanship and of course flight distance.

Eager spectators filled Siloso Beach to its capacity as early as 11 am and were treated to views of the crafts on the pit lane preparing for the first take-off at 12 noon. Nearly a quarter of the teams were inspired by local flair including Team Flurry Express and their MRT cabin, Team ERP with their flying ERP gantry. Local delights such as Chilli Crabs, Durians, Kueh Lapis and Char Siew Pows also took the skies, albeit briefly, before making a huge splash in the water below.

The day’s prize winners were announced by Red Bull Flugtag hosts, 98.7 FM’s Justin Ang and Vernon A. a.k.a The Muttons and each winning team was presented with their prizes atop the ramp.

RED BULL FLUGTAG Winners:
  • Red Bull Flugtag 1st Place, Team Super Sevens
  • Red Bull Flugtag 2nd Place, Team Riff Raff Rubber Ruckus
  • Red Bull Flugtag 3rd Place, Team Flurry Express
  • Red Bull’s Prize for the Wackiest Team Performance, The Serial Flyers
The MINI Prize for the longest flight distance at Red Bull Flugtag Singapore:
Team Amphibious Dragonfly Drone.

Food Review 21 On Rajah Restaurant at Days Hotel Singapore

,

Hi Readers! Have you heard of 21 on Rajah?  It is a restaurant located at Days Hotel Singapore at Zhongshan Park, 15 minute away from the city centre. Days Hotel Singapore offers 405 guest rooms with an all day dining restaurant and gym. Hence, the interior design of the hotel room looks modern and elegant too.

For today, I am going to introduce you guys the signature foods found at 21 on Rajah Restaurant.  This was my first time visiting 21 on Rajah and one thing I like about was the fine exquisite dining ambient. It gave me a great impression whereby I enjoyed my delighted food tasting dining session at Day’s Hotel 21 on Rajah.

I like this room design! Haha

The food tasting session started off with their signature starter dish, followed by main course and dessert. Through this session, I like almost all the dishes especially the Grilled Chicken Satay and Jumbo Prawns with Dill and Saffron Paella dish. The seafood look fresh and with a tender bite of its meat, it taste awesomeness delicious. Yummy!

Crostini of Smoked Eel

Prawn and Bacon Roll

Grilled Chicken Satay in Balinese Spices

Stewed Fillet of Danish Cold Water Halibut

Pannetonne Bread and Butter Pudding with Dates

As for dessert wise, one of my favourite desserts was the Dark Chocolate fondant with raspberry coulis. It was a form of molten lava chocolate cake with the marshmallow topping on it and inside the chocolate cake it contain mouthful hot chocolate sauce which flows out from the center of the cake. For chocolate lover, you will definite love it!

Last but not least, with the excellent service and delightful meal, I had a wonderful time moment with my friend dining at 21 on Rajah Restaurant. The price range of the Ala Carte meal start from $12 - $50. Is recommended and worth price dining at 21 on Rajah Restaurant. *Smiles*
